ARIS
Cell being the hub for IT based facility centre
for University has been furnished and equipped with
modern ICT equipments like High End Severs, Networking
devices and 24 hrs uninterrupted power backup systems.
Presently, the Internet connectivity services are
made available round the clock. Leased line connectivity
of 2Mbps speed from BSNL has been installed, which
will improve the net connectivity 4 to 5 times faster
than the existing. This will facilitate to increase
the internet users from 150 to 500 nodes with good
speed. For security of the Campus Area Network,
the hardware firewall is being installed at ARIS
Cell. |

| The
campus wide network project for connecting all the
offices, colleges and student hostels with underground
optical fiber cable is lied to extend the IT services
on the campus. All the student hostels are setup with
a small computer laboratory for providing 24 hours
internet connectivity. |

To
improve the poor mobile services in the campus,
the BSNL Mobile Tower is installed behind
the ARIS Cell to improve the information and
communication facilities.
The University website is being improved which
will provide University information regarding
teaching, research and extension. New domain
name for the University is registered as www.pdkv.ac.in
on which the University portal is hosted on
our high-end Server with Webmail facility
which can be accessed from anywhere in the
world. The launching of the portal had successfully
done. |

addition to statistical analysis of Ph.D. and M.Sc.
students new internet laboratories have been setup
for students and faculty separately with 20 and
10 nodes respectively |
