Placement Services

 


Placement cell:

            The Dr. PDKV invites human resource requirement of prospective employers.  The university authorities thereafter send biodata of interested graduates to the employers.  A mutually agreeable date for holding interview either at university campus or head quarter is fixed and the candidates are directed accordingly. For the interviews held at Akola, university provides free lodging, boarding and local transport facilities to the experts. The arrangements for written test, group discussions and personal interviews are made by the university as per the requirement.  Notifications are issued as and when various organizations approach the University for requirement of graduates for several posts. The possible help is extended by Dr.PDKV to the graduates in order to find a suitable job to them.

Lecture series, different educational Programmes of  renowned placement/training agencies  and conducted the campus interviews  of the various agriculture sector industries, banks etc. for the benefit of the undergraduate and post graduate students of this college. The Placement Celllooksafter the placement of students in various organizations/ companies. During the past five  years, the campus interviews were conducted by N.S.Poultry Dev. Trust Raipur, IFFCO, Nagarjuna fert. Ltd. Hyderabad, Zuari Agro Chem Ltd. Gudgaon, Crystal Crops Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai, ICICI Bandk, National Bulk Handling Co. Ltd., Crystal Crops Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai, Advent Ltd. Gudgaon, HDFC Bank, Adani Ports Pvt. Ltd. etc. And about 63 students háve been selected for various posts through the campus interview.

Financial Assistance Scheme


ICAR Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to the eligible applicant student of all constituent Collage of the university are being awarded as per norms .merit-cum free studentship and to students Aid Fund to the illegible students are being awarded as per norms. Financial assistance to student belonging to SC/ST and Other backward categories is being extended as per Government Order from time to time. Other agencies like ASPEE, Jain Irrigation, BARC, etc.

Insurance Scheme


Student‘s admitted from the academic year 2000-2001 onwards have subscribed for the Group Insurance Scheme on a compulsory basis.

 Health Facilities:

Health Dispensary with one Doctor , compounder & female nurse with two  female attendants for staff and students.

Basic infrastructure available in the dispensary : Registration room, Dressing room , Doctors / patient checkup room, Medicine department, ladies toilet and gents toilet.

Facility’s provided:

All symptomatic treatment  of diseases with first aid injuries are carried out free of cost with antibiotic , symptomatic medicines dressing material free of cost.

General checkup : All type of basic check ups, BP checking , Nebulizer, Pulse oxymeter, o2 cylinder facility, Gluco meter ,Wheel chair ,stretcher , IV / Injection facility, dressing facility weight machine , height measurement, first aid box facility with patients counseling as and when required. R.O water drinking facility available 24×7.

In addition to this one lady doctor is being appointed on contract basis who visits the girls hostel twice in a week ie every Thursday and Friday the girls students are given free checkup on these two days.

Besides this medical team provide assistance during each and every programme of university like Inter collegiate Sports , shiver pheri , Youth festival, CET exams , Agricultural Exhibitions, convocation programme, LAE sports events , with programmes of shramdan organized within university and outside university for staff and students.  

Regular NCC cadets medical checkup with NSS candidates medical checkup and issue fitness certificate to them for participation in special camps organized by state government and central government.

Awareness programmes organized :

  1. Blood group checkup & blood donation camp of students and staff members.
  2. Brest cancer awareness camp organized in the university for the girls students  and ladies staff of the university.
  3. On occasion of World women’s day organized Sickel cell anemia and HB % in blood for the girls students and ladies staff and provided Iron & Folic acid capsules to them free of cost .

Student safety insurance scheme for graduate ,Post graduate, & Phd level students are carried out under which the students are entitled to get benefit of Rs 1.0 lakh to 2 lakh and Rs 50000 to Rs 1 lakh for medication , Insurance scheme has been implemented by the individual colleges at there level.

 

Student Counselling


Student Counseling

Fresh students, on admission to the UG and PG Degree programme are assigned to academic staff for counseling and guidance for Teacher /Counselors are provided for effective counseling. An orientation programme is organized at each collage every year in the beginning of academic session. Record of each student is maintained by the respective student’s counselors.

For academic related counseling each 20 under graduate students are allotted to one faculty who acts as the counselor of the students in all aspects related to any academic issues throughout the period of his education in the college. At Postgraduate level one student is allotted to one faculty, who acts as the councilor for academic and research etc.

Student Welfare


Director of student welfare has to look after the following activities for the welfare of students.

    • To promote and develop various sports, game and co-curricular activities amongst students at the university level

 

    • To promote the sportsman spirit and to organize inter Collage tournament within the jurisdiction of the university.

 

    • To conduct inter university tournaments behalf of the inter University Sports Board, New Delhi/Inter Agriculture University Sports Board /Inter State University Tournament (Ashwamedh).

 

  • To organize campus interviews of the different firms, industries, seed and pesticides companies, banks, etc. for the placement of students.
